HARVARD UNIVERSITY – The 46th annual An Evening with Champions took place at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10. The shows, held at Harvard’s Bright-Landry Hockey Center at 79 North Harvard Street in Allston will feature world-class skaters performing everything from triple axels to layback spins to support the Jimmy Fund. A silent auction will begin 30 minutes before each show.

An Evening with Champions was founded in 1970 by former U.S. champion John Misha Petkevich and fellow Harvard University classmate John Powers. Since 1970, it has been run entirely by Harvard University students, and has raised more than $2.7 million for the Jimmy Fund in support of adult and pediatric cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The event will feature performances by 2014 Olympian Polina Edmunds, 2010 U.S. junior silver medalist, 2013 World Junior Championships competitor and Boston native Yasmin Siraj, crowd favorites and two-time Olympic champions (1964, 1968) Ludmila & Oleg Protopopov, and many more. Pediatric cancer patients from Dana-Farber’s Jimmy Fund Clinic will also have an opportunity to skate with the performers during the weekend of An Evening with Champions.

Tickets, including group ticket packages, will be available from the Harvard Box Office beginning in August. In addition, opportunities for individual and corporate sponsorship are also available on our website. There is also an opportunity for skating teams to skate with the champions in the show through an initiative known as “Skating with Champions.”
