BOSTON – April 2, 2012 – The Skating Club of Boston celebrated the 100th Anniversary of its annual figure skating show, Ice Chips, the longest running ice show in the world.  The show featured a cast of over 400 skaters, including 2010 Olympic Champion Evan Lysacek and 2010 Olympian Mirai Nagasu.

With over 200 volunteers and a creative team of figure skating professionals, Ice Chips takes almost a year to create before starting the three month rehearsal process January – March.  This year’s show had an extra special excitement to it as it would mark 100th production of Ice Chips and would be bigger than any Ice Chips show ever before.  Ice Chips, which has showcased national, international and Olympic champions from all around the world, has continued to attract thousands of spectators each year.  The show has donated revenues to various charities over the last 80 years, and in recent years, Ice Chips has generated donations close to $100,000 for the Division of Sports Medicine at Children’s Hospital Boston.
